Terminal 0400-2400. PPR Required for Parking. The terminal is normally open from 3ish to about half passed midnight and the pilots can access it through gate 19b to outside the airport then using the normal entrance. To get back to the plane, the pilot gate can be opened with the Code 425 - this isn't marked on the fence or the gate.
There is always security here who can be contacted at 250-755-7791 if the terminal isn't open and they are happy to let the crew in to use the washrooms or get out of the weather. The phone number apparently goes through to a duty phone held by the security person here at the airport so the crew won't be waking anyone by phoning it.

Fueling |
0500-2100 7 days a week. Call in advance if fuel required after hours. Please leave a message as they may be fueling aircraft and provide details and phone number for follow-up.
Pilots may assume fuel is available 24/7 and are only to call the After Hours Cell once it is certain fuel will be required (i.e. just prior to loading or departure). This is to mitigate fatigue issues for fuelers who may also be working Normal hours the following day.
Fueler Cell Normal Hours (0500-2100) – 250-301-8880 (rings quite a while before you get an answer)
After Hours Callouts (2100-0500) - 604-347-8066
If you are unable to reach the on call fueler, please call:
(Primary) Jenna Weselowski - YXS Fuel Manager - (306)-203-6814
(Secondary) Ben MacKinnon - Area Manager (705)-943-5580
|
De-icing Services** |
Type I and Type IV De-icing available 24/7. Normal staffing hours from 04:30-midnight every day. Outside of these hours, one crew member is on call and has to call in another for deicing spraying, so minimum of 60 minutes before services can be expected.
If on ground in YXS with conditions requiring de-icing being certain, best option is to call EFC before their night shift ends at midnight to advise so a crew can remain on site. If having to call in without any notice, please calculate this additional 60 minutes into any overtime/duty period calculations as required.
Contact 250-613-9667 (primary) or 604-753-9687 (secondary) to coordinate.
Crews may assume services are available unless otherwise stated in NOTAM (i.e. don’t call in advance and ask if they are available).
